First Aid Beauty's Ultra Relief Cream

This product has been my saviour and will hopefully continue to be during winter. Following my previous post on two FAB products, this is the most used item that I received. I use it every morning, or anytime during the day when needed (as long as I don't have make-up on).

My face has always been very dry, to the point that you can sometimes see my skin becoming flaky in some places. I used to have eczema when I was younger, and I guess my skin never fully got rid of that. I know I don't have eczema now, so don't want to give off the wrong impression. I'm just saying that my skin still gets the incredibly tight feeling after washing or turns into slightly peeling skin, especially during winter! Anyway, I've always had to be careful with using face products - no perfume and no artificial crap for me. I was quite excited to try out FAB's Ultra Repair cream as it sounded like the perfect alternative to my beloved E45.

After 6 months of testing, I can easily say that it has worked wonders. I only apply a bit on the side of my nose/top of my cheeks, my forehead and my chin (where my skin becomes dry the most). As long as I apply enough, my skin stays moisturised and doesn't flake all day. It recovers my skin when I've woken up with dry skin and I always apply plenty before using foundation. It's quite thick on application, but it does sink into your skin very quickly and easily, without creating any oily texture.

At $15 (although you can buy it here for £8), I can't say that it's a miracle product and that it's worth the money. It does the same job as E45, which is on sale for under £4, and you don't need to worry about postage! It definitely works though, so I won't be replacing it until it's ran out. If it carries on working as well as it has been, then it would be a shame to waste it! It's great for people with dry and sensitive skin, like myself, but I don't know what it's like for combination and oily skin types... The same for any of their products!

Unfortunately, FAB has vanished from my local Boots now, so I don't know if it's available anywhere else! Beauty Bay is the best place if you're interested in trying out any of the products. (:
