Battle of the Boxes - GlossyBox vs Feel Unique

I've subscribed to GlossyBox for a few months now, and I have liked majority of the items given. However, last month, I decided to check out what the Feel Unique Beauty Box offered... Past boxes have looked really good so I wondered if I would prefer the Feel Unique to GlossyBox. Both boxes were delivered today so I got to open them at the same time - excited stuff! I haven't had time to test them or anything like that - judgement is based on descriptions, packaging... Basically judging books by their covers. I didn't have much time that I couldn't even shape my photos - for shame!

Feel Unique Beauty Box

Blurry shot - soz guyz

TIGI Bed Head Candy Fixations Sugar Dust; Annick Goutal Mandragore Eau De Toilette; Clarisonic Cleanser; Nails Inc Oxford Circus Nail Polish, Figs & Rouge Sweet Geranium Balm

The box itself is much more compact, so you do get the feeling that you won't get much in there, when matter of fact it's completely filled up with goodies. I love how the box slides out rather than typically lifting the lid off of it - nice touch! I'm not sure if I would use the box again as storage, simply because the name is printed on the box... I'm a bit funny like that! Saying that though, make-up based storage would definitely suit it.

Products wise, I was quite impressed with what I received. Some of them I've never heard of before, nor have I ever considered trying out these products before. That's the whole point of the boxes though - samples before you buy!

TIGI Bed Head is a brand I've heard of before, and have tried a few products - Never heard of the Sugar Dust though. It sounds like some kind of dry shampoo (but don't count me on it) so I'm very intrigued how this works. I love how the perfume seems to be a decent sized sample, with a spray pump too! I really hope I like the scent (which is apparently a mix of bergamot, star of anise, ginger, boxwood and mandrake... Oh my) as it would come in very handy to pop into my handbag! Also looking forward to trying out the Clarisonic Cleanser - heard amazing things about this brand but never gave it a second thought to actually trying it out. I hope it suits my skin type (very dry and sensitive) and it doesn't react to it.

Although I love the shade of the Nails Inc polish - a lovely glossy baby pink shade! - I was very disappointed in the size of it. I know they're only samples, but still. Glamour Magazine managed to have decent sized Nails Inc polishes free last month (or the month before?) Won't stop me using it though, I'll just be very careful when using it as I don't want it to run out fast! The Figs & Rouge Balm is also very intriguing - my lips sometimes react to different products and they don't work as well for me than others. If anything, they get 20x worse than usual! It's definitely a cute little lip conditioner though, which you can also use on your skin. Can't wait to try pretty much all of these, but I will be quite wary with a couple of them.

GlossyBox

Rituals Foaming Shower Gel; MEMEME Seventh Heaven; Blink And Go Hi-Definition Mascara; Cargo Cosmetics Classic Lip Gloss; Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle Nail Polish and Stripped To Go sachet

First of all, how cute that they've made the box red for Christmas! A lovely little change for GlossyBox there - and they didn't get rid of the wrapping inside either, which I adore. Makes it feel like you're opening a present every month. This month's box was also filled to the brim with products, which was really nice to see. The products seem bigger than usual - whether that means more full sized products this time?! I don't know, I haven't really done my research!

I absolutely LOVE the products in this month's GlossyBox. The Rituals shower gel is something I wouldn't have bought myself, but I'm looking forward to trying it. Ever since I used Imperial Leather's foaming shower gel, I've always been a fan, so I hope this one is even better. I'm slightly worried about the MeMeMe Seventh Heaven because it's a base to put on your face before make-up. If it's perfumed, I doubt it'll do any good to my skin, but we'll see. Fingers crossed! The Cargo lip gloss will also come in handy. It's a lovely pinky shade so it's definitely one I'd be more than happy to use!It claims to last long and is non sticky - we shall see about that.

I can't get enough of mascara nowadays, but I've heard mixed reviews of the Blink And Go mascara. I'll still give it a shot, but will be ready with a face wipe if it starts stinging my eyes. The fact that it's 'hi-definition' is a definite plus for me - I don't wear false lashes, so I like mascaras that make my lashes thick, long yet natural! Potentially the best one of all has to be the Deborah Lippmann polish - and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that! A stunning bright pink glittery polish, along with a nail polish remover mitt, is a complete and utter WIN for me. I've wanted to own a Deborah Lippmann polish for months but I never got round to paying the high price for one, so I'm very happy I finally have one all to myself!

Overall, I think GlossyBox is winning so far... not by much though! I'll give it another month to see if Feel Unique can win me back - I plan to only subscribe to one afterwards, because I can't afford to keep both! I know boxes will always be hit and miss, but the more hits the better.

Which box do you prefer/are subscribed to?
