Feel Unique Beauty Box - January box (and my last one)

You may have noticed on Twitter my little rant about Feel Unique's Beauty Box this week. Basically, I cancelled my subscription for it, but then a couple of days later I got charged and then they decided to deliver me a box. It turns out I didn't cancel it in time for the 'cut off point' but it would have been nice to be told when I emailed that I would still be charged for this month! Anyway, here's my box this month...

It's a bit hit and miss for me this month. Not to do with the brands or anything like that, purely the items themselves. I'm definitely glad that I've cancelled this box as I don't really think it's a 'me' box. After last month's versus post, I kind of realised that GlossyBox suited my needs more and offered new products that I was excited to try. This box just screams out "meh".

One product I already love is the Dead Sea Spa Magik's Salt Brushing. This was introduced to me by GlossyBox in the September box last year, and I fell in love with it back then. So much so, that my mum went and bought me a tub of it for Christmas. Lush! I'm happy enough to get this again, as the sachets will definitely come in useful, but I do wish it was a different product within the range.

Got a couple of anti-wrinkle/aging products - Lierac's Coherence L.IR Infrared Lifting Cream and a tester of its Comfort Peel 'Wrinkle Smoother'. I'm 23, goddamnit. I know the saying is you can never be too young to try these out and ultimately 'get ready' for the inevitable, but I don't want to yet. I think I'll be giving these to my mum - she might appreciate them a bit more than me!

Another item, which I'm quite excited to try, is Green People's Make-up Remover and Cleanser. After trying their Moisturising shampoo and conditioner, I adore this brand. I haven't tried their skin care products yet, but as it's all natural and organic stuff, I have no worries about trying it out. It's a cute little travel size too, which will come in handy on my travels for work!

The Phyto Color Protect Express Conditioner and Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion will also come in handy for my travels. I don't have coloured hair at the moment, but I'm sure I will one day so I can save it for then. The body lotion smells really nice - lightly perfumed, but looks like it could do some good as it has anti-oxidants and no weird chemical ingredients (or whatever they are).

Like I said, it's all a bit hit and miss. Yes, some of them will probably come in useful, but I wouldn't repurchase them. Saying that, I'll probably keep them for a month, realise I'll never use them and then chuck 'em. The salt brushing and the make-up cleanser are for keeps though!

What do you think of the box? Are you a fan of Feel Unique's Beauty Box?

I find the FU box the best value at under a tenner and I've heard what's in the February box (will use everything) x
