Clothes Show Live 2012 - The purchases

Brands at Clothes Show Live never fail to provide some decent goody bags that are definitely worth the money. I've avoided buying goody bags over the last few years - I'm not sure why. I was more bothered about the various discounts and fashion brands on offer. However, this year I decided to take a chance and see what all the fuss was about as I spotted hundreds of people carrying these bags in excitement.

Models Own
Buy 2 nail polishes for £10 and get a goody bag for free
Nail polishes: Aqua Pro and Show Stopper (CSL Limited Edition)
What's in the goody bag: Hi-Definer Pro-Eyeliner; Nail Art Pen; Powder Eyeshadow in Matt Black; Powder Eyeshadow in White Pearl; Lipgloss; Lip Liner Pencil; Eye Liner Pencil; Moisturising Lip Balm; 4 Way Nail Buffer; Clippers; Eyeshadow Applicators; More magazine
This was the goody bag I was looking forward to the most, and I wasn't disappointed. Considering the two nail polishes together cost more than £10 (and the purple glitter polish is a special CSL one), they really went to town on the goody bag! I'm excited to try out all these products, as I never branched out to the full range before.

Barry M
Goody bag for £10
What's in the goody bag: Nail Paints x3 (Retro Coral, 244 and151); Glitter Stacking Set; Dazzle Dust x3 (20, 34 and 92); Limited Edition Lipgloss; Gold Glitter Stick; Emerald Green Lengthening Mascara;  Kohl Pencil x3 (21, 22 and 24); Make-up bag
Even though the goody bag is good value for money, I'm not entirely sure how useful these products will be. Saying that, my sister also bought a goody bag and she's definitely not into such colourful make-up! I'll give these a go, and see how subtle I can wear them. I do like the dazzle dusts and the nail paints though. Orange eyeliner though? Maybe a bit much with my hair colour!

Jelly Pong Pong
2 goody bags for £5
What's in the goody bags: Fairy Lashes Mascara; Lip Cushion; Brazilian Sun Puff Bronzer; Wide Awake Complexion Palette
I have never considered Jelly Pong Pong before... but I'm glad I bought the bags. I don't think I would have spent more than £5 on these products though. I've already tried the mascara, which is quite nice to use, so I'm hoping the other items will be good to use too.

Alice Takes A TripSyd and Mallory
Cat Print Lace Peter Pan Collar Gray T-shirt - Originally: £34, CSL price: £25
Oversized stone ring - £5
Obviously these are not from a goody bag, but they're the only fashion/jewellery items I bought during the event. I've always loved the vintage, handmade and independent stores around Sheffield, including Alice Takes A Trip, and Syd and Mallory. The brands shared a stall at CSL, and even though it took me a while to find it, it didn't disappoint. I fell in love with the cat print t-shirt (how cute is the collar and bow tie?!), alongside the adjustable ring. Outfit post coming soon!
Overall, I am impressed with what I got from each brand. Goody bags can be risky as they could end up being a complete waste of money! However, I can see myself using majority, if not all, of these products in the future. I definitely think that Models Own and Alice Takes A Trip gave me my favourite purchases though.
Did you go to CSL? What were your favourite purchases?
