Crawlin' back to you | Outfit

All Primark
I think these are pretty good Primark finds for the summer. These slightly high waisted shorts fit perfectly (for a change!) and the embellishment isn't too much on the eye. The length is pretty good too as I hate short shorts, unless I'm on holiday! I feel comfortable enough to wear these without any tights on the hot sunny days. They have a slight vintage look to them too. The vest is really useful to have as it's loose and light to wear. This whole outfit actually cost around £15, so you can't really complain!

I'm currently writing this in a bit of an anaesthetic-filled daze. I desperately wanted to get a blog post out, so I'm struggling through. I had 3 fillings done in my teeth today, and 13 gum injections later, I can't feel my entire face. It's slowly waking up now though, and it feels so weird! I feel a bit like Phoebe from Friends, when she had an anaethetic dart stuck in on her bum cheek (one of the really old eps!), and when it wakes up she's jumping up and down going "OOH! OOH!" I hope someone remembers that episode else I just rambled on by myself... I also love how I decided to go to the dentist instead of going to Glastonbury. Urghh.

In other news, last weekend I went down to London and saw The Killers at Wembley (absolutely incredible), followed by the David Bowie Is exhibition at the V&A Museum. SO GOOD. I highly recommend going to see it, even if you're not the biggest fan, it's really interesting. Have you been to see it? :)

Time for a bit of bloglovin'

Image credit (and to Georgie too!)
Well I'm completely late mentioning this (surprise surprise) but as Google Friend Connect will be no more in July (boooo), it's time I explained where you could still follow my little ol' blog, if you still want to!
I don't tend to go on Bloglovin' that much, but I know I should as everyone raves about it. I know that I need to follow all my favourite blogs (that I read from GFC) and have a bit of a clear out on Bloglovin' so maybe I'll be converted in no time! I hope so. I need to up my blogger game pronto, including my serious lack of commenting...
Anyway, if you want to follow me on Bloglovin', you can via this link :) If you don't fancy that platform, you can also follow my blog on Feedburner/RSS feed, or every other social network I'm on, which you can see on the sidebar! What a shameless social plug that was.

It would mean so much to me if you do, as I appreciate everyone that follows me. I know this blog is so tiny compared to a lot of blogs, and I've been going AWOL now and again, but to think you still stick by my blog is just amazing!
I hope to see you over there :)

Samy Fat Hair Amplifying Hairspray | Review

Samy Fat Hair Amplifying Hairspray - £6.59

I call this my ‘industrial-strength’ hairspray, and the only product that actually works on my hair. Fat Hair is a brand that, isn’t very cheap, but it bloody works. It’s designed to maximise and amplify your hair, whether it’s by hairspray, shampoo or the other styling products available. I’ve only ever used the hairspray (and have done for the last 2-3 years) but I honestly can’t stand using any other hairspray now as it doesn’t give me the desired effect.

You only need the tiniest amount of spray and it locks your hair in place. Now I have a fringe back in place, it goes everywhere and I end up looking like I have curtains. I’ve used Elnett, Tresemme and god knows what else, and only Fat Hair Hairspray has stopped this from happening. It’s also great if you want to add volume or curl your hair, as it won’t drop out within a couple of hours. It really does give maximum hold on your hair.

There are some negatives though… The hairspray sticks to everything. If you use it next to any kind of surface, it will land on it and it feels horrible. I have to wipe down my desk pretty much every day because of it. Also, if you apply too much (which is very easy to do), your hair looks quite dry and straw-like. Quite a bad look, especially when your hair could actually resemble straw due to the colour (like mine nowadays)..!

It is quite pricey at £6.59 (at Superdrug) but it does last and it works wonders. I definitely won’t be going back to other hairspray brands if I can help it!

Well, I saw you in a restaurant the other day | Outfit

Dress: Topshop | Boots & Hat: eBay

I may be a little bit stupid wearing this dress in the weird weather we're having, as it's still quite warm. I guess I'll be putting this dress away until the later months now! I do love this dress - it's so simple, fitted and classy. I can dress it down with Converse and tights during the day, and dressed up with platform Chelsea boots and a statement necklace. I could really do with some more colours in this style. The bowler hat also came in useful to hide my roots!

Well, I'm sure you can see that my hair colour has changed ever so slightly (PAH) since my last outfit post on here! I started getting bored with my red/purple/pink faded hair, and was considering going lilac. I needed to get rid of the previous colour, so I used ColourB4 (hair colour remover) and it turned my hair a peach/apricot shade! Needless to say, I was incredibly shocked but I kind of like it now and this accidental colour may stick around for a while (apart from when I sort out my roots)!

I'm going blogger AWOL for a while, as you may have noticed. I literally don't have the time right now. Dublin was so much fun (but very busy) last weekend, and I'm off to London today until Friday to do live social reporting during Taste of London. Again, it should be good fun and I'm looking forward to it! I guess the main thing I'm looking forward to though is the fact I'm back in London during this weekend to see a certain favourite band of mine at Wembley... Rude of me not to dedicate this post to them (plus it's such an incredible video).

Topshop Lips - Infrared | Review

Topshop Lips in Infrared - £8
I took these photos AGES ago but I completely forgot to review this lipstick... and yet it's one of my favourites at the moment! I spotted the gorgeous Sounds Like Noise orange lipstick by MAC (Hayley Williams' collection) and I wanted to find a cheaper alternative that I could repurchase all year round and wouldn't break the bank. I wouldn't wear orange lipstick every day, so I felt that I was more happy to part with £8 a time!
Starting on a negative, this lipstick does annoyingly dry my lips out. However, if I make sure I keep them moisturised beforehand and apply a peachy balm on top (I use Clarins Lip Perfecter in Apricot Shimmer), it creates a lovely glossy effect and also lasts a bit longer (although the staying power is pretty good anyway). You can apply a small amount for a bit of colour, like in the photo, or more to create a much more vibrant orange shade, so it's quite versatile for the look you want.
Whether this suits all skin tones, I don't really know, but to be honest if you're confident to make a statement with your lippie, then I definitely recommend this lipstick!

Healing, like fire from above | Outfit

Top: Topshop | Skirt: Lavish Alice | Flower band: Primark

These photos were taken on Sunday, before a certain hair change happened... So apologies (if you're unaware of such hair change... Check back soon)! I'm running behind on my blog already, urgh.

Anyway, don't you just love it when you find an item of clothing that you completely forgot about? I seem to be doing that a lot recently. This Lavish Alice skirt is a bit too thin (material wise, obvs) and clingy for my liking. If the material was just a little bit thicker so your underwear doesn't completely show through, it would be so much better! I do love the tie dye pattern though. As for the flower band, I think this was the third time I've worn it since I bought it... Oops. I'm still not overly sure on it, but hey, I'm always stupidly late on trends so maybe I'll love it in a couple of months time!

I'm off to Dublin on Thursday for a work event (if anyone is in Ireland and going to Taste of Dublin, let me know)! I'll be live reporting on social media until Saturday, which will be such a good experience. Feeling the pressure at the moment but I'm feeling positive! Then afterwards, I'm off to Taste of London... in London (duh) the following Thursday-Friday, back home that night and then back to London to see The Killers at Wembley Stadium! It's as if I've just written my diary on here... This month is flying by, and yet I have no time to myself whatsoever. Knackered already. Give me a shout it you're in Dublin or London (: would be good to meet your pretty faces!

You're from the 70's, but I'm a 90's b**** | Outfit

serious roots going on.
All: Topshop

I've got my bare legs out for the first time this year, and I'm loving it. I'm always one for layers, but it's too nice outside to do that this weekend. I've gone for quite a casual outfit today, with my trusty pink Topshop skirt and grey crop top. I've had this top for years now and I can't bring myself to chuck it away. It's very useful to have for days like this!

I've got such a busy few weeks coming up, so I'm sorry if my blog posts are even more sporadic than they already are! I have zero time to myself, let alone for my blog. Booo. I'm going to try and use this weekend to plan a few posts though before I get too busy... Whilst enjoying the sunshine of course. My parents (in fact, my whole family) have gone on holiday for a week, so I have the house all to myself. First stop? Barbeque!

Is that what demons do, hey? | Outfit

Top: Topshop | Trousers: New Look | Necklace: Topshop

A mix and match outfit of polkadot trousers (which stretch a lot, so you can only wear them once before washing/shrinking them again), a very cropped t-shirt and a body necklace to add some bling. These trousers are great, despite the problem I just mentioned. They fit really well and are perfect for both smart and casual looks. I'd happily wear these to a meeting at work, but also chill in them on a slightly warm day, as they're light to wear. I wish the crop top wasn't so short though... I can barely lift my arms up without the risk of flashing my bra!

Finally we're getting a bit of sunshine in our lives - doesn't it just make your mood so much better?! Even if you've had a rubbish day, driving past the countryside whilst the sun is shining instantly puts a smile back on my face. I'm definitely a summer girl and I can't wait to start wearing my dresses and skirts without tights/leggings. :) Saying that, the sun has gone in today... But it's not cold for once, so I'm not complaining!
