MUA Ever After Matte Eyeshadow Palette | Review

MUA Ever After Matte Eyeshadow Palette - £4.00

Is this a great dupe of the Urban Decay Naked palettes? No. Is a great palette for the price? Yes.

This is my go-to eye palette for every day wear, especially for work. It adds a little bit of colour on to your eyelids, but it's not overly pigmented at all so you have to apply a fair bit to achieve anything.

As you can see above on my arm (bit weird...), half of the shades you can barely see, so don't expect much from this palette. I think this palette would work better for base colours. I tend to apply it so my eyeliner doesn't print itself above my eyelid every time I blink... Perfect for very neutral looks. Saying that, I love the blue shade 'Fog' which adds some much needed colour!

Each shade does feel really lovely and offers a matte yet soft finish. I bought this as I'm not a fan of shimmery eyeshadows, so for that reason it's a great little budget palette.

It's just a shame you can't really see it...

What do you think of MUA's eyeshadow palettes?

BLOG THIS Sundried | Outfit & Review

Sundried t-shirt*

How cute is this custom made tee from Sundried? I love the 'blog this' message on it - not too obvious for the general public, but it suits me to the ground! When Sundried asked me if I wanted one of these t-shirts, I jumped at the chance. I don't own or wear many casual tees, but this is so comfortable and soft to wear, I'm a t-shirt convert!

I didn't know much about Sundried to begin with, but after doing some research, I found out that the brand cares a lot about the environment and community. It was founded on a beach in Peru, has community projects going on in Lima and Brazil, the tees made are all Ethical Trade and Justice for workers AND they're produced with 100% organic product. I love it when a brand cares. It makes me want to support them more!

Sundried t-shirts range at around £20, but you can also purchase sunglasses and hoodies too. The fact that this t-shirt is such fab quality has made me really want to check out the rest of the range. I actually think £20 is such a good price for a t-shirt from Sundried. It's better quality than a lot of the high street t-shirts I own (some of which cost more than £20)! Did I mention that it's also so damn comfortable? Because it is!

What's your favourite ethical clothing brand?

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 015 Tutti Frutti | Review

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 015 Tutti Frutti - £7.99

This is by far the best lip product I've tried in a very long time! I suffer from dry lips all year round, so a lot of my lipsticks (as moisturising as they may be) make them look worse. Revlon's Colorburst range is a lip butter/balm with vibrant colour, and vibrant it really is!

I chose 015 Tutti Frutti, which is a lovely bright orangey shade. I was really impressed by how colourful this lip butter is, without having to apply loads to achieve it. It's super moisturising and lasts a very long time too, which is a bonus as I'm guilty for being lazy and not reapplying lipstick or lip balm! My lips didn't feel dry at all. In fact, they felt silky and soft which is very unusual for me.

Although this could be seen as quite pricey for a lip balm, I'm more than happy to pay nearly £8 for it. It's a lip balm and lipstick all in one, and I definitely need to get my hands on some more shades!

Have you tried Revlon's Colorburst Lip Butters?

Fever, where'd you run to? | Outfit

Primark shift dress

I love this checkered daisy shift dress from Primark. It's a fab length and fit for spring, and I love the white collar on it too. I can't get enough of collars on dresses! I think this dress was only around £10 too - bargain!

I hope you're all having a lovely bank holiday weekend so far - I know I am! It's been quite chilled really, although I have had a new haircut (yes, the outfit above is a little bit old...), been wedding outfit shopping, cried during The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and spent a lot of time with my family. Just what you want for Easter really :)

You're just a hideaway | Outfit

Sammydress dress*

This cute little number will be great to wear later on in the year when it starts getting cold again. It's pretty thick, but also feels light to wear. I love the cuffed bell sleeves and the oversized crochet peter pan collar - just enough detail for a simple day dress :)

Sammydress has a massive variety of clothing available, at very reasonable prices too. The quality was better than I expected to be honest, so I'll probably find myself browsing the website again soon!

But first, I might need to buy some more hair dye... Nothing like a blog photo making you realise just how faded and weird your hair looks now! Wow.

Luckily I'm one step closer to sorting the mop out, as I got some of it chopped off yesterday! A good start to the bank holiday weekend, as not only that, Alex and I went wedding outfit shopping followed by seeing two of my new faves: Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. :)

Time to relax now...

Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer | Review

Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer - £4.19

Is this the holy grail of concealers? To many, it is, but for me? It could well be, mainly due to the price of it! I've had bad experiences with other Collection products, so I'm really pleased that it pulled this out of the bag.

It blends in really nicely, regardless of whether you're applying with your finger or with a brush. I've only just started using a brush to blend it in, and it does look so much better this way. It stayed on my face all day and covered imperfections and blemishes thanks to its thick consistency, which was fab. However, I have to avoid applying it on any dry areas because it clings to it and makes my dry skin look even worse.

The only thing I will say is that the shades aren't great. There are four shades to choose from, and I'm currently using Medium, which is now a little bit too dark for me. Fair is way too light for me, but I may give it a go to see how it looks!

What's your go-to concealer?

Topshop dress | Outfit

Topshop dress | Vintage/handmade bracelet

Purchasing this dress was way too spontaneous for my liking! I only went to London for a work meeting, then ended up spending nearly £70 in Topshop. OOPS. I was close to returning this sweet dress (mainly due to the price of it) but everyone told how lovely it was and how it suited me... So the day I was going to return it, I ended up wearing it. Again, OOPS.

I love the daisy cut out print on the overlay bodice, and the scallop sleeves are a really nice length. It'll be perfect to wear over the next few months, but I do worry about it will shrink in the wash due to the material. I'd love to be able to wear this with tights or even bare legs (risky!) so I might hold off wearing it too much for the time-being.

As for the bracelet, I bought this at the Worcester Vintage Fair over a month ago. I don't wear it much, but it's just so adorable! I love this quirky items, like this measuring tape bracelet. Shame it looks bloody huge on my wrist though!

I feel like I've only just recovered from last weekend's antics and now I'm suffering again from a night out last night. Why do I do this to myself? Anyway, I visited Bath last weekend for my friend's hen do. I had such a fab time, and it was lovely being back in the city that I once called home (for like 5 months). I need to visit Bath again soon to soak in the culture! Road trip, anyone?

The Backpack Convert | Review

New Look backpack

I bloody love this backpack. It's absolutely gorgeous! It's smart, classic and really useful. It holds everything I need, as well as looking smart enough to use for a long distance meeting. I love the detailing, with the zip at the front and the side pockets. It's just a really nice, crisp black that goes with everything. I don't even know what I mean by 'crisp', but hopefully you get it.

It's converted me into using backpacks again, as I was such a bag snob before. I'm the typical girl who would carry a backpack (only if I had to) on one shoulder and low down. This is just too nice to mistreat it and, although I do carry it on one shoulder when I'm shopping (it's quicker to reach for my purse!) I do wear it with pride.

I can't find it online anymore, but you might be able to get it in-store. Do you like to use backpacks, or do you prefer other styles?
