Laura Double Pocket Zip Bag from Accessorize - £19.50

I've needed (or, technically, wanted) a new work bag for a while. This is perfect and is my 'Mary Poppins' bag because it fits everything I need and more.

I spotted this in an Accessorize store but, for some reason, it was missing the additional long strap from it. I could have bought it a bit cheaper but I always like the option of using a longer strap if I've got a long journey ahead, so I ordered it online as soon as I got home for £19.50!

This bag has got so many pockets, with two zip areas on the outside and a smaller zip pocket inside. with surrounding areas which are secured by a magnetic snap closure. For the outside double pockets, I tend to keep my diary and any other paperwork I need. I can also fit my MacBook Air in there perfectly which is fab!

For the other areas, I keep my make-up, any winter accessories I may need, an umbrella, hairbrush... Basically, all the stuff I may need throughout the day! The middle section is where I keep my purse and phone, as it's safe and secure all zipped up.

It's a lovely grey colour, and leather-look, which is smart and perfect for work. It'll go with pretty much any outfit too. It's also got a nice little snakeskin fabric and a gold metal clasp on the front pocket, which adds some much needed texture to it.

Bargain!

No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream | Review

No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream

No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream for Dry/Very Dry skin - £13.50 (Boots)

I needed a new face cream to use in my nighttime routine, and came across No7's Beautiful Skin night cream in Boots. I've always loved No7 but never tried any of its skin care products properly. I also heard good things about the Beautiful Skin range so wanted to check it out!

This night cream is really lovely to use. It's not too thick so it feels great to apply. You don't need to use much and it soaks into your skin really quickly. It instantly makes my face feel smooth and soft, which is great, especially after a long day. It smells so nice as well.

It's a rich and intensive cream to use at night, promoting optimum hydration while you sleep. My skin feels comfortable throughout the night and even when I wake up, which makes a nice change. It's fab and has a firm place in my beauty regime now.

I really like using this night cream, and I'm actually intrigued to see if the day cream is just as good!

Good god, let me give you my life | Outfit

Topshop dress - £26

This lace insert flippy dress from Topshop is perfect for many occasions. It's made of jersey material, with lace inserted in the shoulders and back. However the lace isn't too long down the back, so your bra is still covered, meaning it's suitable to wear in the daytime!

It's a fab little dress and, for £26, I didn't think it was that expensive for Topshop. I know it's still a fair bit of money, but I'm really happy with this dress and it's becoming a go-to.

Topshop, you're winning me back.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Nourishing Lip Balm | Review

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Nourishing Lip Balm SPF 20 - £15.30 (Feel Unique)

I love Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour range, especially the lip care products. Recently, I've been reaching out to the Nourishing Lip Balm, which is just fantastic. It's the same formula as its original Lip Protectant Stick, but in a creamy balm consistency which is very easy to apply.

This product always helps to replenish my lips, so they feel moisturised and soft throughout the day. It also gives a lovely shine to your lips as well and, as I hate wearing lipgloss and tend to forget to reapply lipstick, it's great to know that my lips look a little bit more radiant than normal!

As with most products in the range, it includes SPF 20 so it's a holiday essential! Last time I went on holiday, I took the Lip Protectant Stick and it completely melted in my bag due to the heat. At least I know that this lip balm won't melt away to an unusable mess.

I doubt I'll ever replace this product for something else. To me, it's perfect.

Topshop cardigan

Introducing what I consider to be the best cardigan I have ever owned. This was a birthday present and a bloody good one at that. It's not your standard knitted cardigan as it's got a lovely soft lining inside. It's quite a slouchy style, longline with no buttons and stretchy. I love the way it looks and it's so warm and cosy to wear.

It's definitely not a cheap cardigan, and I'm lucky to receive it as a gift, but I honestly can't stop wearing it right now!

Lisa Shepherd Wombourne | Review

Lisa Shepherd Wombourne
Add caption

It's been a while since I visited a salon since I dyed my hair brown. My hair started getting a bit too long for my liking, my roots were showing and it just felt really dull. When I was invited to try out the services at Lisa Shepherd Wombourne, I was in two minds: Do I stay brown or do I go red?

I decided to play it safe again but with a little twist.

After a quick consultation with Tammy, I opted for subtle ombre tones added to my hair. Not very adventurous for me, I know, but something that could be built on when the weather starts getting warmer again!

I always enjoy visiting a Lisa Shepherd salon (as I've been to the Kidderminster salon a few times before). I feel like I can trust the stylists to actually do a good job with my hair and I always leave feeling happy with my new hair cut.

The majority of my colour treatment was to get rid of my roots, and it's nice that the salon has a dedicated waiting area for you to sit down with magazines and complimentary drinks whilst you wait.

Afterwards, I was taken to a separate section of the salon to get the excess colour washed out, and for the part which everyone loves... The head massage! They also added my ombre colour in at this point, which didn't take as long as I expected. I was wondering if the colour would even work but it took really well!

As for the cut, we agreed not to have a fringe cut back in this time. I didn't even explain how much of the length I wanted cutting off as well, but Tammy seemed to just get it.

One thing I absolutely hate when I visit salons is that, when I explain that I like 'volume', they straighten my hair to the point where it's literally poker straight. I never have my hair like that and it's completely the opposite to what I asked! However, Tammy decided to add soft curls to my hair which I absolutely loved!

She introduced me to a couple of new products to me, including Redken's Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer. My hair always takes ages to blow dry so I'm pleased to find out that there's a product out there which shortens the time by a few minutes. This is on my shopping list.

I'm really pleased with how my hair turned out and always recommend going to Lisa Shepherd salons. I just wish my hair looked like this when I try and curl it myself...
