Culotte style | What I Wore

Topshop jumpsuit - £26

I fell in love with this simple high neck jumpsuit the moment my eyes spotted it. It just had to be added to my holiday wardrobe.

I love the culotte style legs, despite the creases in them. Soz! It's stretchy, making it super comfortable to wear. However it's also very clingy... I went one size up just to avoid my lumps and bumps being overly visible! I can't wait to wear this in Tenerife next week!

I teamed it with a simple necklace, but I might add a few more accessories next time just to jazz it up a bit.

I'm quite surprised that this jumpsuit only cost £26. I know it's basic for Topshop, but considering you can spend that much money on a top, I'm pretty damn impressed.

Olloclip #SELFIE 3-in-1 Photo Lens | Review

Wherever I am, I love taking photos. I want to capture special moments so I can look back and reminisce. I only have my Canon 60D camera, which is pretty hefty for me to carry everywhere I go, so I tend to use my iPhone to take my photos when I'm out and about.

Olloclip #SELFIE 3-in-1 Photo Lens - £49.99

When I visited The Gadget Show Live, I spotted Olloclip. A nifty little lens which fits onto your iPhone so you can take great photos wherever you are. After a bit of thought, I decided to treat myself...

The Olloclip #SELFIE 3-in-1 Photo Lens is compatible with the iPhone 5/5s and includes three lens - wide-angle, fisheye and macro. You can use each lens on both the front and rear facing cameras (all you need to do is clip the lens you want onto the relevant side). It easily clips on and off within seconds and it's very secure when it's attached.

The image quality is fantastic, it really makes a difference to your photos. It's hard to decide which I prefer to use, as they have their own purpose, but I think my favourite lens is the macro. I'm not sure why as it's the lens I've used the least, but it amazes me how clear the images are close up! The wide-angle will be great to use for capturing landscapes, and perhaps full outfits... And everyone loves the fun aspect of a fisheye.

I received a free iPhone case, specially designed so you can move the top in order to fit the Olloclip on, and still enable you to use the side buttons to take a photo. It also came with some pendants, a bag and a lanyard (*tourist alert*) so you can carry your Olloclip with you at all times. I even have an adapter for my iPhone case, so I can attach it to my tripod if I wanted to!

The #SELFIE 3-in-1 Photo Lens costs £49.99 (luckily, it cost less for me at The Gadget Show!), and there's many more different lens for you to choose from for iPhone.

Disney Minnie Mouse Classic Slip On Vans | Review

I couldn't resist.

Disney Classic Slip On Vans (Minnie Mouse) - £52

Vans are just so comfy and such a staple shoe. Throw in some Disney and you've got the perfect casual shoe in my eyes! Minnie is the ultimate babe so I, of course, chose these slip on classics. I'm sure I've worn them enough to get my money's worth already.

It's a shame that the Disney collection is limited edition, as it obviously went down VERY well with the public. The amount of kids I've seen wear some... At least my feet no longer grow so I can enjoy them all the time. YAY.

Now, if only Disney teamed up with Converse...

What do you think of the Disney x Vans collection?

This tan suedette a-line skirt is the dream. Honestly. It's a fab length, sits really well on my hips and is pretty slimming. It's really light to wear so it's great for the summer season. I bought it for £18 which is pretty decent, but I've just found out it's reduced to £8. Bar-gain.

Also, it's been years since I've fully appreciated wedges. I really wanted some wedges for my holiday, nothing too fancy and ones which will go with a lot of my clothes. New Look strikes again. They're wide fit too, which is perfect for me!

How would you wear a tan suedette skirt?

Learning about #PinterestUK

I've given myself the task to get better at social media for myself. "Practice what you preach" as they say. Whilst I'm quite happy with majority of my networks, Pinterest is one that I'm still failing to grasp. It's not difficult to use by any means, I just forget to use it properly and forget how much of an impact it could make for my blog.

Pinterest workshop

I attended a Pinterest workshop last week, situated in the gorrrrgeous Fazeley Studios, to learn all about how to utilise the visual discovery tool (did you know that it's not technically a social network?) for blogs.

We were greeted to some yummy breakfast and freebies (I'm a sucker for a branded pen... and STICKERS) and it was good to meet a couple of people from Pinterest. I'm sad that I didn't get chance to stick around to chat to some bloggers though, especially those I know from Twitter... My nerves got the better of me, and work was calling!

Pinterest workshop

A few things I picked up were:

1. Get yourself a Business account. It's free to convert your account, and will allow you to access some lovely insights and analytics. (A digital manager's dream!)
2. Make sure you verify your website on Pinterest as well so you receive even more analytics. Plus, you can use Rich Pins, which offer even more information direct from the website within your Pin.
3. Ensure you write strong Pin/board descriptions, as this is how your content will be found via Pinterest. Use longer, thoughtful descriptions, and add additional context to it. It's not a crisp white shirt... It's a crisp white shirt which is great to team with denim jeans and wedges, perfect for summer... Blah blah blah, you get the idea.
4. Don't just re-pin other people's content. There's a big need for original content, and utilising your blog content is the perfect start. Try to use vertical images on your blog, as these work better on Pinterest. Then pin away on a regular basis. You can even give your readers the option to pin your images directly from your blog.
4. Pinterest's Business Centre has everything you need! There's so much more to cover and this section of the website is so helpful to get you on your way.

I may not have put all these into action just yet, but I'm working on it. Slowly but surely does it! I learnt a great deal though and I'm quite excited about using Pinterest going forward.
